Porsche Wheel Spacer Kit
These Porsche wheel spacers are precision CNC-machined hubcentric track widening spacers, built specifically for Porsche 5×130 (5x130) vehicles. Every pair is bored to exactly 71.6 mm centre bore to sit flush on the hub — no vibration, no balancing issues, no adaptors needed.
Fitting Porsche wheel spacers pushes the wheel outward, reducing your ET offset, widening your track, and giving your 911, 718, Boxster, Cayman or Panamera a flush fitment stance that fills the arches properly.
Why Brightstone Engineering Spacers?
- UK manufactured - machined in-house in Britain. Not imported and relabelled.
- True hubcentric fitment - 71.6 mm bore matches the Porsche hub lip exactly for vibration-free running
- 6082-T6 billet aluminium - aerospace-grade alloy, strong and lightweight
- Supplied with extended wheel bolts - correct M14×1.5 ball-seat hardware for Porsche included in every kit
- Lifetime guarantee - covers materials and manufacturing defects
- Brake caliper clearance - adding wheel spacers creates additional clearance between the wheel and brake caliper, making these ideal if you're running or planning to fit larger aftermarket brake calipers
What's Included:
- 2 × hubcentric Porsche Wheel Spacers (your chosen thickness)
- 10 × extended M14×1.5 ball-seat wheel bolts
Porsche Wheel Bolt Specification & Thread Engagement
These spacers are supplied with extended M14×1.5 ball-seat wheel bolts sized to match the standard Porsche OEM bolt length plus the thickness of the spacer. The standard Porsche water-cooled wheel bolt (996 onwards, all 911, Boxster, Cayman, 718 and Panamera) has a shank length of 29mm, measured from the washer base to the end of the thread.
The extended bolts supplied with each kit are sized as follows:
| Spacer thickness | Standard bolt shank | Supplied extended bolt shank |
|---|---|---|
| 7mm | 29mm | 36mm |
| 15mm | 29mm | 44mm |
| 20mm | 29mm | 49mm |
| 25mm | 29mm | 54mm |
For safe installation, a minimum of 9 full turns of thread engagement into the hub carrier is required. This equates to a minimum of 14mm of thread engagement — equal to the bolt diameter — which is the recognised engineering standard for M14 fasteners.
⚠️ Before fitting, always remove one of your existing wheel bolts and measure the shank length. If your bolts differ from the 29mm standard — which is common with aftermarket wheels, which often have deeper bolt pockets requiring longer OEM bolts — the extended bolts supplied in this kit may not be correct for your application. Contact us before ordering if your existing bolts are not 29mm shank length and we will advise the correct extended bolt for your fitment.
⚠️ Aftermarket wheel warning: Many aftermarket wheels have deeper bolt pockets than OEM Porsche wheels. If your car is running aftermarket wheels, your existing bolts may already be longer than 29mm. In this case the bolts supplied in this kit will be longer still — always verify adequate clearance within the wheel bolt pocket and sufficient thread engagement before torquing to specification.
Porsche Fitment Table
These Porsche wheel spacers are designed for vehicles with a 5×130 PCD (pitch circle diameter) wheel bolt pattern and 71.6 mm hub bore (centre bore). Check both your PCD and centre bore before ordering, fitting the wrong spacer is the most common mistake.
These spacers fit the full water-cooled Porsche 911 range: 996, 997, 991 and 992 generations, covering every variant from base Carrera through to GT3 RS and Turbo S.
These wheel spacers also cover the mid-engine Porsche models: all Boxster generations (986, 987, 981) and Cayman (987, 981), plus the 718 platform (982) in both Boxster and Cayman form including GT4 and Spyder variants. Panamera fitment covers both the 970 and 971 generations across all body styles including Sport Turismo.

Porsche Wheel Spacer FAQ
Are wheel spacers safe on a Porsche?
Yes, provided they are correctly specified and fitted to the correct torque. Our 15mm, 20mm and 25mm spacers are fully hubcentric — the 71.6mm bore engages the hub register completely, meaning the hub carries the lateral load rather than the wheel bolts. The 7mm spacer is a flat shim — it sits below the hub spigot depth, but the hub spigot still protrudes through and centres the wheel directly. Both are safe when correctly installed.
What is the difference between the 7mm and the 15mm, 20mm and 25mm spacers?
The 7mm is a flat shim spacer. The Porsche 911 hub spigot is 15mm deep, so with a 7mm spacer the hub spigot still protrudes 8mm beyond the spacer face and centres the wheel directly — the spacer simply creates the offset. The 15mm, 20mm and 25mm spacers are fully hubcentric — bored to exactly 71.6mm so the spacer’s own register centres the wheel. For most applications 15mm is the minimum we recommend for full hubcentric fitment.
What size wheel spacers should I fit to my Porsche 911?
For a subtle OEM-plus correction, 15mm is the most popular choice across the 996, 997, 991 and 992 range. 20mm produces a more pronounced flush fitment and works well on cars running coilovers. 25mm suits owners wanting the wheel face to sit flush with or slightly proud of the arch lip. The 7mm is popular for owners who want the smallest possible change — often used on the front axle where clearance is tighter.
What size wheel spacers should I fit to my Porsche Boxster, Cayman or 718?
15mm is the standard recommendation across the 986, 987, 981 and 982 platforms for both front and rear. The mid-engine layout gives more even clearance front to rear than the 911, so equal sizing works well on both axles.
What size wheel spacers should I fit to my Porsche Panamera?
15mm front and 20mm rear is the most common fitment on the 970 and 971 Panamera. The wider rear track benefits from the extra 5mm on the rear axle to fill the arches properly.
What is the correct torque for Porsche wheel bolts?
Porsche specifies a two-stage torque procedure — first stage 80Nm, final stage 130Nm, tightened in a star pattern. Always use a calibrated torque wrench and re-check after 50–100 miles.
Will wheel spacers void my Porsche warranty?
Fitting aftermarket components can affect warranty coverage on modified parts, but does not automatically void your entire vehicle warranty under UK consumer law. If your Porsche is within its new car warranty period, discuss with your Porsche Centre before fitting. Most buyers of spacers for 996, 997 and early 991 cars are outside the standard warranty period.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting wheel spacers?
Wheel spacers do not alter suspension or steering geometry directly. However Porsche’s geometry tolerances are precise, and if your car has been lowered, has track use, or is near its alignment limits, adding track width can push it fractionally out. We recommend a geometry check if the car has been modified.
What is the difference between hubcentric and lug-centric spacers?
A hubcentric spacer has a precision-machined bore that matches your hub diameter exactly — 71.6mm in this case — so the hub centres the wheel and carries the lateral load. A lug-centric spacer relies on the wheel bolts alone to centre the wheel, which can cause vibration. Our 15mm, 20mm and 25mm spacers are fully hubcentric. The 7mm is a flat shim where the original hub spigot performs the centring function directly.
Are these compatible with GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS or other GT models?
The 5×130 PCD and 71.6mm bore are the same across all Porsche 911 variants including GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS and GT4 RS. However GT cars often have zero or negative front clearance from the factory due to suspension geometry — we strongly recommend checking front clearance before fitting any spacer to a GT model, and contacting us if you are unsure.
Can you make custom Porsche spacers?
Absolutely. We produce custom Porsche spacers and PCD adapters to suit unique wheel setups — whether you’re fitting centre-lock conversions, aftermarket wheels, or building a track car. All machining is done in-house in the UK.
Brightstone Engineering Porsche wheel spacers are precision CNC-machined in the UK, and supplied with high-tensile hardware — designed to enhance handling, stance, and wheel clearance without compromising Porsche performance.
