BMW 5 & 7 Series & E53 X5 5x120 74.1mm Hubcentric Wheel Spacers (M12×1.5)
What's included
In every kit
2× hubcentric wheel spacers — bored to 74.1mm, in your chosen thickness
10× extended wheel bolts — M12×1.5 ball-seat (R14). Standard bolts are 26mm; ours are extended by your wheel spacer's thickness so you get full thread engagement with no extra fitting work. If your car uses wheel nuts and studs (not bolts), this kit will not work for you. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Before fitting, remove one of your existing wheel bolts and check its thread length. If it doesn't measure 26mm, do not fit this kit until you've spoken to us — your vehicle may use non-standard hardware.
These BMW wheel spacers are precision CNC-machined hubcentric track-widening spacers for the 74.1mm-bore 5×120 BMW chassis — the E39 5 Series, the E38 and E65/E66 7 Series, and every X5 and X6 from the E53 through to the F15/F16. Select your bolt thread above: M12×1.5 for the 5 & 7 Series and E53 X5, M14×1.25 for the E70/E71 and F15/F16 X5 and X6. Machined in the UK from aerospace-grade 6082-T6 billet aluminium, every pair is bored to exactly 74.1mm so the spacer locates on the hub register itself — the hub carries the load, not the wheel bolts.
Fitting spacers pushes the wheel outboard, reduces the effective ET offset, widens the track and gives a flush, arch-filling stance without any change to the suspension.
Available in 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm. Need a custom thickness? Contact us.
Fitment
Designed for BMW models with a 5×120 PCD wheel bolt pattern and the 74.1mm hub bore. Two bolt threads run on this bore — pick the one that matches your chassis from the table below, and the kit ships with the matching extended bolts.
| Model | Chassis | Years | PCD | Bore | Thread | Seat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BMW 5 Series | E39 | 1995–2003 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M12×1.5 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW 7 Series | E38 | 1994–2001 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M12×1.5 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW 7 Series | E65 / E66 | 2001–2008 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M12×1.5 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW X5 | E53 | 1999–2006 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M12×1.5 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW X5 | E70 | 2006–2013 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M14×1.25 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW X5 | F15 / F85 | 2013–2018 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M14×1.25 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW X6 | E71 | 2008–2014 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M14×1.25 | Ball / radius (R14) |
| BMW X6 | F16 / F86 | 2014–2019 | 5×120 | 74.1 mm | M14×1.25 | Ball / radius (R14) |
All models above use 5×120 PCD and a 74.1mm hub bore. The E39, E38, E65/E66 and E53 X5 take M12×1.5 wheel bolts; the E70, E71, F15/F85 and F16/F86 X5 and X6 take M14×1.25 — choose your bolt thread above. Always confirm your vehicle's hub bore and bolt thread before ordering.
Not for the E46/E90 3 Series, E60/E61 5 Series, E63/E64 6 Series or the F10/F30-generation saloons — those are 5×120 with a 72.6mm bore. See the 72.6mm kit for those.
Wheel bolt requirement
Supplied with extended wheel bolts in your chosen thread. The correct length is:
required bolt length = OEM bolt length + spacer thickness
OEM shank length on these chassis is approximately 26mm . Minimum thread engagement must be at least 1.5× the bolt diameter. Bolts (M12×1.5 or M14×1.25 to match your selection) have a ball / radius (R14) seat to match BMW OEM alloy wheels; if you run aftermarket wheels with a conical seat you will need conical bolts instead — the seat is set by the wheel, not the spacer.
Fitting & torque
Professional fitting recommended. Torque the wheel bolts to BMW's specification — typically 120Nm — using a calibrated torque wrench and hand tools only, never an impact gun. Re-torque after 50–100 miles.
